Privacy Policy

LinkedIn Copilot ("the Extension") is a browser extension that assists users in writing LinkedIn content using AI-powered text generation.

Data Collection

The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to our servers. When using the free tier proxy service, your text prompt is forwarded to an AI provider for generation. We do not log or store these requests.

Data Stored Locally

The following data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API and never leaves your browser:

• AI provider API keys (managed by Chrome's secure storage)
• User preferences (tone presets, custom instructions, selected provider)
• Daily usage count (for free tier limit tracking)

Third-Party Services

When you generate text, your prompt and relevant LinkedIn context (such as post text and author name) are sent to your chosen AI provider:

• OpenAI — Privacy Policy
• Anthropic — Privacy Policy
• Groq — Privacy Policy

When using the free tier, requests are routed through our proxy server, which forwards them to Anthropic. We do not log or store these requests.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties.

LinkedIn Content Access

The Extension reads publicly visible LinkedIn content (post text, author names, message context) solely to provide relevant AI-generated responses. This data is processed in-memory and not stored permanently.

Open Source

The Extension's source code is publicly available for inspection on GitHub.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
